Lou Ann's story

Lou Ann was diagnosed with ovarian cancer on Friday, April 13th. It is so cliche, but our lives changed in an instant. Since then, we have spent time together as a family preparing for what lies ahead. She started chemotherapy on Friday, April 27th. We are confident in her team of oncologists, Dr. Elg and Dr. Heddinger and know that she is in good hands. So, this becomes our new normal; good days, bad days and everything in between. One day at a time.
We have felt your prayers, so please keep them coming.

We have done our best to clear the shelves of all things teal. Teal shirts, socks, books, blankets, wreaths, nail polish, towels, pillows; if it's teal, we buy it!

Please keep the prayers and positive vibes coming. LOVE WINS.

During a conversation with a friend sometime over the last couple of weeks, she shared their mantra during her own mother's battle with cancer; Cancer Hates Love. I do believe that we'll adopt the same mantra for this journey.
She is in good spirits and is so appreciative of the love and support. In life, it isn't about the hand you're dealt, it's about how you play that hand. We are in cancer killing mode and are full of hope, love and gratitude.
Love,
The Loew, Burke & Markway families
